Lee County physical therapist assistant convicted of sexual battery on patient

A Lehigh Acres man was convicted Wednesday of sexual battery.

A jury found Akepe Gerard Ntube, 47, guilty after a one-day trial in Lee County.

In 2020, Ntube worked as a physical therapist assistant at a chiropractor’s office. A woman was getting a massage by Ntube to help heal a work injury. During the massage, he sexually battered the woman. She immediately jumped off the table and left. Ntube asked her not to report him. The victim drove straight to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and reported the crime.

Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 2.
