Sofia Treissa. Credit: Collier County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies are asking for the public’s help in their search for a missing Naples teenager. Friday, Sofia Treissa, 17, was last seen leaving her home around 3:30 p.m. The circumstances surrounding Sofia’s disappearance are a mystery, and her mother is concerned for her safety. Sofia’s cell phone was found in an unoccupied home in a on Summerfield Drive in the Orangetree area of Collier County. Her mother tracked it with an app. Unfortunately, that did not give her many more clues to where her daughter is. Collier County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the teen. Investigators say Sofia texted her mom Friday about staying the night at someone’s house. The teen was seen on Ring cam video leaving her home with two bags in the rain. She got into a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Nissan Murano. Little did Sofia’s mother know that she would not hear from her daughter afterward. When Sofia’s mom tracked her daughter’s phone to the unknown home, she visited the property. When she knocked on he door and no one answered, she called the sheriff’s office. According to the CCSO report, deputies found a family member of the homeowner and discovered the girl’s phone on a bed, which looked as if it had been slept in. Investigators reached out to Sofia’s friend, who she was supposed to be with, but according to the report, the girl claims she did not pick Sofia up that night. We reached out to the friend’s mom, but she didn’t want to provide a comment. Sofia’s mother made a plea on Facebook and says this type of behavior is unlike her daughter. She is very worried and wants the community’s help to find her daughter. Sofia is described as 5’2, around 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information can call Collier County Sheriff’s Office at (239) 252-9300, or leave an anonymous tip with Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, call 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
