The 37-year-old motorcyclist and a car driven by a 21-year-old Fort Myers woman were traveling east in the outside lane on Lee Boulevard, west of Gunnery Road in Lehigh Acres around 7:27 p.m. The man began to slow down due to an emergency vehicle crossing the intersection, but the woman did not notice the motorcycle slowing down. The car rear-ended the motorcycle. Both vehicles came to rest where they collided, and the man (who was not wearing a helmet) was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
