(Submitted photo) The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was conducting a death investigation Wednesday at a home in Lehigh Acres. The scene was very active all day on 9th Street Southwest as investigators pulled evidence from the home. The LCSO Mobile Command and Crime Scene units were at the scene. Neighbors told WINK News that a little girl lives in the home, but investigators have yet to release any information. “All we’ve seen is police officers going down and SUVs and crime scene vehicles down there,” said neighbor Sandy Brown. Sonia Valdes lives next door to the home. “Last night around 12:30, there was a gunshot and then a dead person,” she said. WINK News is working to find out who was killed and why.
