The City of Marco Island has announced it will be concluding its vaccine clinics by the end of May 2021.

The month of May will be dedicated to providing second doses of the Moderna vaccine, the city said in a news release.

Any Marco Island resident 18 and older who would like a vaccine can register at online at http://vaccine.cityofmarcoisland.com.

Vaccine clinics are held on Fridays at Mackle Park.

The city is working with a vendor named Merit that emails and calls residents with appointment times. Residents must answer their phones in order to receive an appointment.

The vendor’s phone number is 239-970-4022 and the caller ID will say Merit for Marco Island. The city stresses residents must answer their phones to get a vaccine appointment.

The vendor will also send emails confirming a vaccine appointment which will come from vaccine@cityofmarcoisland.com or from help@merits.com.

Residents are asked to check their email and respond in order to receive an appointment time.

If residents don’t respond to the vendor, the vendor will go to the next person in line and the appointment opportunity through the city will be missed.
