FORT MYERS
Weekend rainfall expected to bring relief to SW Florida
Happy Thursday, Southwest Florida! This afternoon, everyone will see highs soar into the mid-upper 80s with plentiful sunshine.
Elevated wind, drier-than-normal conditions, and low humidity are contributing to a very high fire danger index for Lee County today.
Relief from the fire risk and our rain deficit is on the way by Sunday! The tail end of a large storm system will bring scattered rain and even a few storms.
Rain and storms look to be most widespread both Sunday and Monday. As the front stalls, we’ll see spotty rain lingering even through Tuesday and Wednesday.
