A man was arrested Tuesday morning after police say he stalked a woman and crashed into patrol cars as he attempted to escape arrest. The Fort Myers Police Department sent officers to Miller’s Ale House at 4400 Kernel Circle after being called about a man suspected of stalking a woman there. The woman said in her call that the man took pictures of her and her license plate before following her into the restaurant, where he continued to watch her. The man left once officers arrived, and woman provided the make and model of his car. The officers followed his vehicle away from the restaurant and tried to pull him over on Edison Avenue, but he continued driving until he reached a dead end. He turned around and drove into the patrol cars following him. No officers were injured, and the man was taken to the Lee County Jail. Trust WINK News for updates.
