Police investigating drive-by shooting, still searching for suspect in Fort Myers

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that took place in Fort Myers early Thursday morning.

The shooting happened near the corner of Pauldo Street and Market Street around 2:39 a.m., where someone fired multiple shots at a house from their car. No one was injured, but the Fort Myers Police Department hasn’t been able to locate the suspect yet.

They have described the car involved as silver, but nothing more specific, and no description at all of the driver. Around a block of the neighborhood as been roped off for the investigation. At least 20 evidence markers are visible at the crime scene, and police have collected multiple shell casings off the road. Detectives have arrived to take statements from neighbors.
