Happy Wednesday, Southwest Florida! Highs will skyrocket this afternoon to the mid 80s with a mix of sun & clouds. In typical dry season fashion, rain chances don’t return to the forecast anytime soon, as a hot area of high pressure builds across the region. As a result, we’ll go from Winter to Summer in less than a week, with highs soaring to the lower 90s by this weekend. While we fry in Southwest Florida, the high will keep the storm track north of us, with multiple rounds of heavy rain & severe weather expected across the South this week. I don’t see any big rain chances on the horizon, so drought & wild fires could become a problem down the line.
