A woman was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for her alleged involvement in three separate fraud cases targeting the elderly.

Christine DuBois was arrested by deputies at a shopping plaza on Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers, according to a video posted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives say DuBois worked repairing AC units and was contracted by victims, taking deposits but never completing the work, according to Lee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Nestor Montoya.

DuBois’s oldest victim is 84 years old, Montoya said.

The victims in the case lost a combined total of $11,000, he said. He added she is facing 10 felonies and three misdemeanors in the case.

DuBois is also accused of forging and altering checks, Montoya said.

A suit has been filed against DuBois in civil court as well.
