According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Maudeline Lamy took photographs of a victim’s bank cards and used them to make more than 80 purchases on Amazon, spending about $7,000. The investigation began in October of last year after a witness in the case alerted LCSO about suspicious activity on the victim’s credit card. Lamy faces a charge of grand theft from a victim over the age of 65, exploitation of the elderly and fraudulent use of a credit card. Bail has not been set in the case, records show. She remains in Lee County Jail.
