More sunshine, warmth for St. Patrick’s Day across SWFL

Published: Updated:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! If the kiddos will be hanging outdoors today, have a way to keep ’em cool.

Highs will be even warmer than the past few days, reaching the mid-upper 80s with plentiful sunshine.

Our next weather maker arrives in Southwest Florida Friday morning, bringing rain and storms for your morning commute.

The Storm Prediction Center has backed off with our chance for severe storms, but northern portions of our region are still in a marginal risk (1/5).

Right now, prepare for the potential for brief, heavy rain and gusty wind late Thursday through Friday morning. The Weather Authority will update you with any changes!

Behind this strong cold front, cooler and drier air mixes in for the weekend. Don’t forget – spring officially begins 5:37 a.m. EDT Saturday. Enjoy!
