Firefighters respond to mulch fire at property in Buckingham

The Florida Forest Service responded to a mulch fire on a property in Buckingham Wednesday afternoon.

The Tice Fire Department led the response to a mulch fire at Country Lakes Farm, a business that deals in compost, mulch, potting soil and top soil, along Orange River Boulevard.

Firefighters knocked down the fire and, along with the Forest Service, plan to return Thursday morning to check on the property. Crews will flatten the mulch pile to make sure it doesn’t spark back up.

Neighbors told WINK News there have been several fires at this property in the past.
