The pandemic has proven challenging for nonprofits raising funds for their missions, but that didn’t stop an organization in Southwest Florida.

Thousands of dollars will go to help cancer patients and their families in Collier County thanks to the Cancer Alliance of Naples event, “Keep on Truckin,'” at Celebration Park in East Naples Monday.

With an auction, entertainment, food and drinks, donations poured in both virtually and in person to the Cancer Alliance of Naples.

Executive Director Jodi Bisogno told us the money is a huge help to those struggling to pay for basic essentials while battling treatment.

“We are definitely a saving grace by the time they find us,” Bisogno said. “They’ve already exhausted every resource, borrowing from friends and family, taking personal time from work, and really by the time they’re coming here, they’re in financial stress, and we’re able to step in and help them.”

WINK News Anchor Chris Cifatte also helped emcee the virtual event.
