There is extended surveillance video Wednesday that shows a male driver, who ran over a woman with his pickup truck in Lee County Monday, spent at least two minutes in the parking lot.

A big question that remains unanswered is why the woman was on the ground of a Cracker Barrel restaurant parking lot.

In the recording, the truck never stops, and the hit-and-run suspect has not been named or brought into custody. The woman from Cape Coral is still in the hospital.

“Oh, that’s disgusting,” Ray Hodgdon said. “How could a human being do something like that to another human being?”

“It’s shocking that you still don’t feel that or to stop, both parties,” Kristi Solomon said. “It’s a little strange to me.”

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the truck was a Ford F-250, and the woman never sees what hits her in the restaurant parking lot of Palm Beach Boulevard.

“By leaving you are committing a crime,” FHP Lt. Greg Bueno said.

Bueno told us he hopes everyone watching has the same reaction he did.
