A 13-year-old was arrested in Lee County for leaving a written threat of a mass shooting in a middle school bathroom.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says the teen is being charged with one felony count sending a written threat to conduct a mass shooting.

The threat was found Wednesday inside a boy’s bathroom at Oak Hammock Middle School on Tice Street in east Fort Myers.

WINK News will not name the boy because of his age.
