Marco Island police say an officer responded to the theft earlier Saturday at the victim’s home on Edgewater Court. The victim later learned the kayaks were listed on Facebook Marketplace. He contacted the seller, Miguel Angel Nunez-Rivera, who said he had no idea the kayaks were stolen. The pair agreed to meet so the kayaks could be returned to the victim. Police on Saturday evening arrested Nunez-Rivera, 24. The arrest report states he verbally admitted to stealing the kayaks. He faces two counts of felony grand theft and has since bonded out of the Collier County Jail.
