Investigators say a large group of teens were caught up to no good.

Last Friday, Naples Police Department says it received reports from the Mangrove Bay community in Naples, where teens were caught on surveillance camera at a private dock spraying fire extinguishers.

Police say the group of teenagers went up to a dock at Mangrove Bay by boat. They are accused of messing with the extinguishers, and one of them caused smoke to fill the entire dock.

In the video, the teens can be seen getting nervous and start running to the boat. They all hopped on, and the boat sped off.

People who live in the community told us they are angry this happened because it could mean a fire can’t get put out.

NPD says teens could face felony charges in the incident, and it’s a prank that could cost the teenagers a chance at jobs in the future.

Florida Statutes mandate anyone who maliciously destroys or removes any equipment used in the extinguishment of a fire could have a felony on their record.

Three fire extinguishers were missing from the dock, and one of them was found in the water. All three extinguishers must be replaced because they were either lost or damaged.
