A man was arrested Wednesday after authorities say he led them on a chase that started in Fort Myers and ended in North Fort Myers.

The Fort Myers Police Department says officers were trying to pull over Rodrick Kanrad Campbell, 24, and he drove away.

Police say Campbell backed the vehicle he was driving into an FMPD vehicle before he got out of his car and ran.

LCSO K9 and aviation units joined the effort to apprehend Campbell when the chase entered North Fort Myers in the area of Oak Street and Fourth Way off North Tamiami Trail.

LCSO arrested Campbell and booked him into the Lee County Jail. He faces charges for resisting an officer and hit and run.

The sheriff’s office shared a report from its real-time intelligence center about the arrest. Watch the video below, or click here.
