Naples Police sergeant to be honored in funeral at Cambier Park

A fallen first responder in Southwest Florida will soon be honored.

Naples Police Sgt. Jeffrey Reidy was killed in a crash in Lee County while off duty recently.

Naples Police Department announced the funeral to honor the memory of Reidy will be held at Cambier Park in Naples Saturday.

A walking procession made up of family and NPD members will take place from Naples Fire Department’s Fire Station 1 at 835 8th Avenue South to the Cambier Park bandshell area beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The funeral services are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

Street Closures

  • 8th Street South will be closed to traffic from 5th Avenue South to 8th Avenue
    South beginning at 6:00am until approximately 1:30pm on Saturday February

  • Cambier Park Way will be closed to traffic from 8th Street South to Park Street
    beginning at 6:00am until approximately 1:30pm on Saturday February 27,

  • 8th Avenue South will be closed to traffic from 9th Street South to 8th Street
    South beginning at 6:00am until approximately 3:00pm on Saturday February
    27, 2021The City of Naples public parking garages located at 400 8th Street South and 600 8th
    Street South will be open and available to be utilized for parking.
