A vaccine shot being filled. Credit: WINK News The Florida Department of Health in Collier County has announced they received a shipment of second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. DOH-Collier has begun scheduling appointments for those who are due for their second dose this week, according to a news release. Per CDC guidelines, the second dose of both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines can be administered up to six weeks after the initial dose. The DOH-Collier call center is available Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center can be reached at 239-252-6220.
