A Collier County man was arrested on multiple felonies Tuesday after a traffic stop in Golden Gate.

Deputies say Michael Pilecki, 31, a convicted felon, is facing charges of trafficking in fentanyl (4 grams or more), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance.

Shortly before 2 p.m., a deputy patrolling the area of Coronado Parkway and Hunter Boulevard in Golden Gate saw a white Lexus fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

After stopping the car, the deputy saw Pilecki was visibly shaking and appeared nervous, according to Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrest reports. The deputy deployed K-9 Bear to conduct an exterior sniff examination of the Lexus. K-9 Bear alerted the deputy there may be drugs inside and a search of the vehicle ensued, turning up a Ruger .38 revolver, 5.5 grams of fentanyl, 4.8 grams of methamphetamine, 38 grams of Suboxone, three clonazepam pills and numerous drug paraphernalia.

Deputies say the Ruger was stolen in Lee County.

Pilecki remains in custody at the Collier County Jail.
