Lee County Parks & Recreation are gearing up to begin registration for their summer camp.

Registration opens on Monday, February 22 at 7 a.m. Summer camp runs five weeks, from June 28 to July 30, and is offered on a weekly basis. The price for each week is $75.

All summer camps will be following CDC guidelines. This means each camper will be at a ratio of under 9 campers per one staff member. Also, they will be maintaining a 6-foot social distance. Campers are to remain on-site for the duration of each day.

Staff are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day.

All campers get a specially-designed Lee County Parks & Recreation t-shirt.

Campsites will participate in countywide initiatives, such as service-learning projects, fitness and wellness programs, and National Park and Recreation Month.

If you plan to register your child at one of the four large recreation centers, officials say you must first have a membership. These four include Wa-Ke Hatchee Recreation Center, Estero Recreation Center, Veterans Park in Lehigh Acres and North Fort Myers.

If you plan to register online, you need to have a household account at this site.

And, if you need more information, you can go here.
