The State is making sure students are safe while taking standardized tests.

Florida Department of Education has issued a new emergency order to delay exam results deadlines.

It will give schools extra time to social distance and carry out safety measures.

According to DEP, this emergency order delays statutory deadlines for the reporting of assessment results, so districts and schools can implement lengthened testing schedules. This allows for more continued social distancing during test administration.

With many districts extending school into June, these flexibilities help those that delayed opening in order to implement health and safety measures. Thirty-nine school districts will end the Spring 2021 term in June.
