Brush fire breaks out in Lehigh Acres

A brush fire broke out in Lehigh Acres on Sunday afternoon.

Lehigh Acres Fire Rescue says the brush fire covered an acre. There were three structures in danger but, luckily, none of them were damaged. There was no property damage and no injuries.

The fire happened in Lehigh on Ruth Avenue North between 33rd and 36th Streets West at about 4 p.m.

They were able to completely contain the fire by 5:30.

Roads were shut down for about an hour but have since reopened.

Crews say this was an accidental fire caused by fireworks.
