Homes lose power after crash with power pole in Bonita Springs

Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash that downed a power pole in Bonita Springs Tuesday night.

According to FHP, state troopers were responding to a crash on southbound Old 41 Road at Glen Heron Drive. This was south of the intersection with US-41 and Old 41.

Our crew went to the scene, where at least one vehicle was involved, and a power pole had been damaged and knocked down.

Neighbors told us they heard a loud noise from the crash, and many said they lost power.

There is no report of injuries due to the crash at this time or confirmation from state troopers about cause of the crash or power outages at homes or other structures.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office also responded to Old 41 at Lake Amelia Way, just north of Glen Heron Dr.
