A dog that was lost and alone after being thrown from a car was safe Monday.

The owner of the dog took to Facebook and published a post that her dog was missing after being in a car crash Sunday night at Randall Boulevard and 16th St NE in Golden Gate Estates.

The man who found the dog says her name is Luna.

He saw the post on Facebook, went for a walk and recognized Luna.

“I just waited, and then when the lady came, she called her name, and you heard crunch, crunch, crunch and came right to her,” David Ogg said. “She was in tears.”

Ogg told us both Luna and her owner seemed to be doing well after the crash and was happy he could help reunite them.
