A Cape Coral man was arrested Sunday after police say he pointed a handgun at three people.

Police responded to a home in the 900 block of SE 31st Terrace, and say the incident started when a neighbor’s dog ran into Jarvis Daniel Minor’s yard. The dog’s owner and a juvenile ran after the dog, and Minor began to argue with them. He went into his house and returned with a firearm and made threats.

Minor, 34 and a convicted felon, is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

He’s currently being held in the Lee County Jail.
