Cold front filters in cooler and drier air for the weekend

Published: Updated:

A cold front moved through Southwest Florida this morning. Rain chances have cleared and your outdoor plans are good to go for the rest of today!

Clouds will stick around for most of the afternoon with peaks of sunshine. Lower humidity and cooler temperatures will gradually mix in behind the front!

The front will also crank up our wind and our wave heights, which prompted the National Weather Service to issue a high rip current risk for our local beaches.

The cooler air sets up a below-normal weekend ahead with temperatures in the 40s on Sunday morning. Enjoy!
