V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccination, according to the Centers for Disease Control website.

V-safe is a daily check-in app. Part of its goal is to keep track of people after they get the vaccine, to make sure there are no side effects, but it can also keep track of your next dosage.

Some people who got their shots recently knew they were supposed to get the booster shot in about three weeks. They said the first round of vaccination went pretty smoothly.

“We have to go to another place and they’re going to hand us a ticket, and I think the 28th is when our appointment will be,” said Brenda Crossman of Bonita Springs. “So we have another appointment to check in on.”
