FBI offers $50,000 for tips on those responsible for DC pipe bombs

The FBI tweeted Thursday night it’s offering $50,000 for information about suspects wanted for pipe bombs found in Washington D.C. the day of the Capitol Building riot.

According to the FBI release, at approximately 1 p.m. on Jan. 6, multiple law enforcement agencies received reports of a suspected pipe bomb with wires at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee. At approximately 1:15 p.m., a second suspected pipe bomb with similar descriptors was reported at the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee.

There were no reports of explosions or injuries due to the pipe bombs.

Anyone with information related to these incidents can contact the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), or submit tips online at fbi.gov/USCapitol.
