Deputies: 2 Chase banks robbed within a half-hour in Collier County

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office says two Chase banks were robbed within a half-hour of each other Wednesday afternoon in Golden Gate.

The first happened at 1:55 p.m. at the Chase bank located at 5939 Pine Ridge Road, in the Crossroads shopping plaza.

The second occurred at 2:22 p.m. at the branch located at 3693 Santa Barbara Blvd., in the Berkshire Commons shopping plaza.

Detectives say the same suspect committed both robberies and is still at large. He is described suspect is described as a tall black male with a muscular build. He was wearing all black clothing, a black hat, and what appeared to be a black bandana around his face.

Detectives have released bank surveillance images of the suspect in the hope someone recognizes him and contacts law enforcement.

Deputies, assisted by the CCSO Drone, K9 and Aviation units, are out searching the areas.
