The crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. Aug. 4 near mile marker 65.

Kreuser had four 16-year-old passengers in the car when it crashed, killing one of them and leaving two with serious injuries.

Troopers said at the time that Kreuser drove the car into the back of a semi, flipped and hit a guardrail.

Three medical helicopters were called to the scene, which closed the interstate for about an hour.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 63-year-old man, did not have any injuries.

Kreuser is currently in the Sarasota County Jail. No bond amount has been set.
