Low chance of development for disturbance in the Atlantic

Published: Updated:

A non-tropical low pressure system located a few hundred miles east of the central Bahamas is producing clouds and showers.

The disturbance could acquire some subtropical characteristics as it moves northeast. By tomorrow, it’s expected to merge with a cold front.

Later this week, it could separate from the front and regain subtropical characteristics. Regardless, this occurs away from the United States.

Right now, the National Hurricane Center is giving it a 20% chance of development.

Back in Southwest Florida, we are tracking a weak cold front moving across the state. This won’t have a significant impact to our weather, just brings a reinforcing shot of cooler and drier air!

After the front passes, you can expect a pretty mild week of weather with mostly to partly sunny skies and warmer than normal temperatures. This includes a warm and pleasant day on Thanksgiving!
