Florida State Representatives Adam Botana and Mike Giallombardo have both tested positive for COVID-19, according to Botana as well as Giallombardo’s campaign consultant Terry Miller. Botana thinks he might have contracted the virus around election time, he said in a phone call. When asked if he thought he got it during festivities on Election Day, he said it would be hard to say. Botana told WINK News over the phone, that he had mild symptoms that are now gone. He was tested in Tallahassee before being sworn in; when he received a positive result, he went home and had others participate in the ceremony instead, and added that he’s going stir crazy. Giallombardo has been in quarantine for two weeks and is now free of his mild symptoms, according to Miller.
