(Credit: WINK News) The owner of a boat in Matlacha Pass spent Wednesday morning trying to save his boat after it broke free and drifted into Matlacha Pass Bridge during then-Hurricane Eta. Christian Moncon lives on the boat and was joined by observers who tried to help him. Moncon eventually had to leave it behind when the weather got to be too much. Two other boats sank and another boat owner tried to keep his boat afloat. A dock at the Bridgewater Inn near the scene broke free and drifted away. WINK News Reporter Morgan Rynor was there all morning and watched it unfold. WATCH her report above.
