A local businessman’s case against Collier County’s mask ordinance may not be resolved until 2022.

Alfie Oakes is the owner of Oakes Farms and several local grocery stores. He says the county’s mask ordinance is unconstitutional and government overreach.

Oakes hopes the ordinance gets overturned before the scheduled trial in February 2022.

“I am a firm believer in the constitution of the United States,” Oakes said. “Staying strong to our laws and our values and our own individual freedoms.”

Oakes says he’ll keep fighting no matter what.
