State Rep. Ray Rodrigues tests positive for COVID-19

State Rep. Ray Rodrigues said he has tested positive for COVID-19.

He told WINK News he was scheduled for a medical procedure and as is standard, had a COVID-19 test beforehand, which came back positive Saturday. He said he is not experiencing any symptoms but is quarantining.

He also said he has spoken with the state’s Senate president because he will be missing a work session.

Rodrigues attended an event at The Ranch in Fort Myers on election night, along with other GOP candidates and supporters. He said those he came into contact with have been contacted and so far, no one else has tested positive.
