Local government offices are closed Wednesday for Veterans Day.

Collier County

Collier County Public Schools will remain open Wednesday.

Naples Pier is closed due to dangerous conditions.

Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park in North Naples is closed due to Eta.

Lee County

In Fort Myers, MLK Blvd. at Evans Avenue will be shut down, limiting that route to Edison Bridge North due to flooding for the time being. Traffic westbound toward downtown, will be diverted at Cranford Avenue north.

The Sanibel Causeway bridge has “partially reopened” after closure due to high wind.

The Chiquita Lock is closed due to weather and is expected to reopen Thursday.

The Matlacha Bridge has reopened after a temporary closure.

Florida SouthWestern State College is closed Wednesday for Veterans Day.

FGCU is closed Wednesday for Veterans Day.

The School District of Lee County is open, but out of an abundance of caution, schools will dismiss three hours early. Students who normally travel by bus will be provided with transportation. Students will be dropped off three hours earlier than regular dismissal. If you want to pick up your child early, the district asks that you call your child’s school to make arrangements. Update:  The District continues to monitor Eta. The current information from the National Hurricane Center indicates that Lee County will no longer be under a Tropical Storm Watch Thursday morning. Therefore, school will reopen Thursday. Secondary schools will operate on an odd-day schedule as planned.

The COVID-19 testing site at CenturyLink is weather dependent and will open and close intermittently today due to weather, according to the county. As of 9:00 a.m. the site was closed and will reopen when the weather clears.

Charlotte County

Charlotte County Public Schools are closed Wednesday. Update: The school district confirms school will be in session Thursday.

Per the City, North Port City Government operated facilities will be closed to the public until 1 p.m. Thursday. This includes City Hall, Community Centers, North Port Aquatics Center, Records, Utilities and more. Currently, Warm Mineral Springs Park (independently operated) will be open as normal.

Hendry County

Hendry County School District reopened Tuesday.

Hendry County government offices reopened Tuesday.

DeSoto County

The School District of DeSoto County reopened Tuesday.

Glades County

Glades County School District reopened Tuesday.
