A 27-year-old motorcyclist from Lehigh Acres was killed Tuesday afternoon in a North Fort Myers crash. The Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was driving south on SR-31 when a sedan turning left onto Bayshore Road pulled into his path. The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and into the path of another vehicle. He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the sedan, a 37-year-old Cape Coral man, was not injured, nor were the people in the other vehicle. The crash happened at about 2:50 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of those involved in crashes, citing Marsy’s Law.
