Sheriff Carmine Marceno claimed victory on election night for Lee County sheriff Tuesday.

This is Marceno’s first victory, having been appointed previously by Sen. Rick Scott when he was governor of Florida.

Marceno succeeded former Sheriff Mike Scott after he retired in 2018. The former Lee County sheriff recommended Marceno replace him.
