1 killed, 1 seriously injured in Bonita Springs crash

A woman was killed and a man seriously injured in a crash early Monday on I-75 in Bonita Springs.

The Florida Highway Patrol says they were headed south on I-75 toward Bonita Beach Road when their car drove off the road and overturned. Both were ejected. Troopers say they’re unsure who was driving.

The woman, age unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene while the man, 20, was taken to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Florida Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of those involved in crashes, citing Marsy’s Law.
