Yelp launches “Re-Empty the Nest” contest for young adults living with parents

Published:

Yelp is offering to help “Re-Empty the Nest” to assist adult children who want to get back out on their own, offering $2,000 to cover moving costs for select recipients.

According to a Pew Research Center report, about 52% of young Americans ages 18 to 29 are now living with at least one of their parents, 26.6 million people in total in July, compared to 47% at the same time last year. Reasons for moving home include college closures, unemployment, and the stress of lockdowns early in the pandemic.

To enter for a chance to win, tell Yelp why you want to re-empty your nest or why you’re ready to leave the nest, and submit your Request a Quote (via the Yelp app) for movers, home cleaning, landscaping, plumbing or a handyman at the contest website. Visit the site’s rules page for further guidelines.
