Police respond to pedestrian-involved crash at Colonial and Metro in Fort Myers, roadways clear

Fort Myers Police Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle versus a pedestrian that is expected to cause delays Tuesday night.

According to FMPD, police went to the scene of a crash at the intersection with Colonial Boulevard and Metro Parkway, where northbound Metro is shut down as well as eastbound Colonial Blvd. Eastbound Colonial traffic is expected to be diverted onto westbound Colonial.

One person was considered a trauma alert and was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.
