Naples woman faces DUI manslaughter charge for I-75 crash

A Naples woman is facing charges stemming from a fatal crash on I-75 in August.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Madelyn Cherie Restivo, 21, was driving south on the interstate Aug. 3 when she collided with the rear of a semi-truck near Golden Gate Parkway. A passenger in her car later died at the hospital and a second passenger was seriously injured.

Troopers said Restivo’s blood alcohol concentration was .158.

She faces charges of DUI manslaughter, DUI property damage and DUI serious bodily injury to another.

She is in the process of being booked into the Collier County Jail.
