Robert Hudson Task force officers with the Fort Myers Police Department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in reference to child pornography. Officers say they believe there was evidence of attempted exploitation of children and possession of child pornography by Robert Hudson, 34. Police served a search warrant at Hudson’s house on Thomas Street where taskforce officers arrested him. People who live at the same apartment complex are shocked and disgusted. “I don’t know what people do behind closed doors, but that’s a shame to hear about it now,” neighbor Curtis Mitchell said. Rich Kolko, WINK News Safety & Security Specialist, says its crucial for parents to talk to their children to figure out just how many Hudson met. “The detectives want desperately to be able to put that entire picture, that entire puzzle together to, no. 1, to save and help any kids that have been abused and, no. 2, stop anyone from doing it in the future,” Kolko said. Hudson faces multiple charges of possession of obscene material depicting children. During Hudson’s interview, police say he admitted to meeting children from the internet. Officer O’Brien of the Fort Myers Police Department is seeking information from anyone who may have been in contact with Hudson throughout the Lee County area, or saw him interacting with children. At this time, the investigation is very active, and all leads/tip can be submitted to SWFL Crime Stoppers or Fort Myers Police.
