Credit: WINK News. Fort Myers Police Department confirms a man was shot at Jones Walker Apartments in Fort Myers Wednesday night. He then drove himself to a 7-Eleven gas station in the city before he was taken to the hospital. Police had crime scene tape up at both the apartment complex on Blount Street and the gas station, which is at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Evans Avenue. There was an SUV with its windows damaged at the gas station. Police say the man with gunshot injuries was taken to be treated at Lee Memorial Hospital.
