Suncoast Humane Society looks to fill 10 openings in virtual job fair

Suncoast Humane Society in Englewood is set to host a virtual job fair Wednesday, creating potential opportunities for those interested in animal care and protection.

According to the press release, Suncoast Humane Society is looking to fill 10 various positions to complete its growing team.

10 openings at Suncoast Humane Society

Veterinarian (1, full time) – The Veterinarian is an invaluable member of the team. This is a skilled, professional position requiring the performance of surgical sterilization, preventive health care, and overseeing medical examination and treatment of animals received at Suncoast Humane Society.

Facility Supervisor (1, full time) – The Facility Supervisor for the animal care center is responsible for: efficient operation of facility by overseeing equipment and security of building and grounds, monitor the facility for compliance with safety standards, schedule needed annual safety requirements, perform regular and preventive maintenance and have a good knowledge of building services.

Animal Care Technician (2, full or part time) – The Animal Care Technician for our Preventive Health Care Clinic and Animal Care Center must be proficient in small animal anesthesia for spay/neuter patients. They must also exhibit competency in providing medical care and diagnostics for the animals in the shelter as well as pets belonging to the public.

Animal Care Specialist (4, full or part time) – The Animal Care Specialist’s responsibilities include: maintaining a safe and sanitary facility, providing humane handling and care for all shelter animals, assure proper nutrition, housing and basic medical needs are met on a daily basis.

Thrift Store Receiving Clerk (2, part time) – The Receiving Clerks’ responsibilities are: establishing and maintaining all the tasks involved with smooth daily operations of the receiving area and processing of store merchandise to the selling floor and/or stock room.
