Missing 9-year-old Cape Coral boy found safe

Cape Coral Police are searching for a missing 9-year-old boy.

Derrick Fletcher weighs 110 lbs and has black hair. He was last seen at the 2200 block of NE 6th Street at approximately 3:10 p.m. after being locked out of his home accidentally after school.

Police say he called his parent from the neighbor’s home who instructed him to stay at the location.

Derrick left and has not been seen or heard from since.

He has no known friends that live in the area. Due to his age, he is considered missing/endangered.
