At 4:25 pm th National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for Lee County until 6:30 p.m. Doppler radar has detected heavy rain and thunderstorms. Minor flooding has already begun and could continue. Anywhere between two and three inches of rain has already fallen. An additional one to two inches is expected. Areas such as Gateway, Fort Myers and San Carlos Park may be affected by this flood advisory. Heavy rain and lightning are impacting areas in and around Fort Myers.
